After a super early start at 5.30, we travelled a good 5 hours to the Endane estate at around 1500m for a tour of the tea production facility and the Yata Watte low elevation tea. A pretty awesome day with stunning scenery on the road there, interrupted with stops at roadside fruit stalls for cocktail supplies, a 73 year old guy who climbed a coconut tree for us and coming head on with the Tour de Sri Lanka! Jacob filmed a video of an awesome cocktail overlooking the estate in monsoon like rain whilst the rest of us played cricket, (attempted) to climb trees and talked cocktail technique! Lots of ideas for cocktails over the week and sat at Uda Walawe Safari Hotel now brainstorming for another amazing day tomorrow!
